REMIX of a previous design. I decided I wanted to see more of the light and shape of the power button behind the lock. So I needed to print in clear. But I didn't want to see the method of adhering the lock to the appliance. So I needed to separate the window from the rest of the cover. I came up with a window with wings or flanges to go on first. The cover plate overlaps the wings locking the orientation and locking it against the appliance. The adhesion method is the same, 3M wall hanging strips cut to size.
I found with the last iteration, the key was difficult to hold. I had a small hole so it could be attached to a keyring or lanyard or something, but I ended up putting a magnet on. This time, I slotted the key so it fits nicely between two fingers and still has a place on the back to put a magnet. The key pattern on the last one wouldn't work here; I reworked the pattern so it doesn't matter if the key is held right side up, or upside down or left or right.
For the record, my washer is a LG WM3670HVA and the power button is 28.5mm OD.
