This is the final Yeti handle for now as it's the one I've settled on using every day for my 12oz Yeti.

Instead of the “cup” design of my other yeti handles, this one sits between the lid and the rim of the mug, there's a rib on the inside of the handle that just fits in the gap between the two parts.

I printed it in PLA and have been using it for a couple of months now with no issues (I was worried the heat from hot drinks would affect it, but so far it's still holding up).I tried PETG, but found it less suitable for this design as it was a little too flexible for my liking. With PLA. you still get a little flex in the handle, but there's been nothing to concern me too much.

I'd recommend printing with at least 40% infill just to stop the handle from flexing too much.

If I ever make any changes to the design in future I might just make the rim a little thicker to reduce flex, but (hopefully) that won't be for a while (or at least until my current handle breaks).

It's simple to use:

  1. Make your brew
  2. Slip the handle onto the top of the mug
  3. Screw on the lid, nice and tight
  4. Enjoy your brew!

I find screwing the lid as tight as I can get it stops the handle from moving, I tend to do this with the lid in the “open” position, so the inner isn't in the way when I take a sip.
