DIY Bookshelf

Is a project that combines multiple materials, a solid metal frame made with L-shape ¾ iron bar (custom made), fixed to the wall and soldered in place.

Shelves are made out of ¾ pine wood, just tinted. Cut to size. I recommend lenght between 90 and 110cm, depth between 22 and 25cm.

Shelf Module

For 3D printed parts, you need to print 2 “Sides” per Shelf Module, and depending on the position of the module either 1 or 2 “Shelf holder” or 1 “Shelf holder” and 1 “End Cap”.

Side parts require 4 M4 threaded inserts (I personally recommend those from CNCKitchen). Just set those as ussual.

Connect the modules with M4x20, everything attaches using just friction between plastic and metal, so far is holding.

I personally printed everything in Gold Silk PLA, 0.2mm Layers and 50% infill. Again, still holding, my build has around 3 months, not too much weight either, but is holding. If any adjustment is required I'll let you know.
