Extremly overengineered filament spool holder based on 6004 bearings.
Designed with Ikea SKÅDIS pegboard compatibility in mind using M2.5 T-Nuts, but can also be screwed/bolted directly to a wall/other pegboard. Link to T-Nuts:

Compatibility:
- at least 51mm inner diameter
- designed for 65mm wide spools, will accept up to 69mm wide
- required two 6004 ball bearings (i used Timken 6004-2RS bearings, 42mm outer⌀, 20mm inner⌀, 12mm thick)
- pressing the bearings will require some force, DO NOT HAMMER THEM IN
- cap is designed for countersank M5 bolt up to 30mm in length, it should self-tap with some force
Printing:
Material: PLA, nylon should work too. Just make sure its not to brittle to allow for press-fitting the bearings.
Layer height: shouldn't matter, just make sure 45° overhangs print well
Perimeters: at least 3
Infill: at least 20% to allow for structural integrity, cubic is fine
Supports: Required for inner part of the outer roller, otherwise turn off
Assembly:
Start with mounting the base (skadis_roller_holder) to the desired surface (M2.5 T-Nuts for SKÅDIS or any other bolt that is =< 5mm in diameter) Press-fit the bearings into outer roller (skadis_roller_roller), put on base. Screw in the cap with the countersank M5 bolt.
Project is still WIP, planning to make it more user-friendly, especially get rid of the self-tapping M5 bolt. Things have not been tested propperly so I'll try to update the project regularly.
Versions for other bearings might come soon. For remixes, I can provide Creo 10 .prt files.
