I designed this model to eliminate movement of the laser due to the tolerances of the previous parts I used. For the Z axis I used a cheap 150mm, MGN12H linear rail from Amazon. The gantry is adjustable so that it can clamp onto the 2040 Y axis and the linear rail with all thread allows for a very smooth Z height adjustment.
