Star Shaped Salt Shaker Wand

A novelty salt shaker in the shape of a star, would likely work for powdered sugar as well.

My wife saw a star-wand shaped salt shaker on some internet meme and I told her that I could whip up an original design. The idea is pretty absurd for fully grown adults, but your kids would probably get a kick out of it and it does really work. And it would probably dispense powdered sugar and other powered condiments as well.

This design requires some supports on the Shaker body to print but overall it’s a straightforward design in four pieces. Through experimentation I found that four 1.5mm (1/16") holes seemed to allow for a good flow rate ('shake rate'?) for the table salt that I had on hand. You should run a drill bit or an x-acto knife through the holes to clean them up after printing. The included Fusion 360 file has a user parameter so you can quickly generate a new set of holes to whatever diameter you need. The “Handle” and “SaltHoles” are joined to the main shaker body via some CA glue. The handle is flared at the bottom to allow for printing and to allow the design to stand upright, the diameter is ¾" so you can substitute for a wooden dowel rod if you're looking for more of a wand like of look.
