Fully parametrized box with a magnetic holders (one or two). Just type a card dimensions and model will recompute.

Mode made with FreeCad.

Fully parametrized box with a magnetic holders. One or two magnets can be set with parameters.

All sizes are in “par” spreadsheet. The main parameters marked with green color.

m - means “manual”. This value was typed with hands.

F - means “function”. This value calculated with defined ‘m’ values. Do not change them.

 

Basic

If you want to make model, just change the first four parameters.

“columns_count” means how many stack of cards can be putted into the box.

“card_width” is for single stack of cards.

“card_total_height” is for single stack of cards.

 

Magnets

If you want to change number of magnets - copy a cell right of ‘DOUBLE_MAGNETS’ or ‘SINGLE_MAGNET’ to a cell right of ‘magnet_distance_between_holes’. Do not set zero values for this field - it will broke the model.

 

How to get an STL file

  • Open FreeCad
  • Open file
  • Open spreadsheet with parameters

 

  • Change some value. For applying cell changing - press Enter.
  • Return to the model, to check changes
  • Click on the workbench list
  • Select mesh workbench
  • Select ‘Box’ model
  • Use ‘Tesselate shape’ tool
  • Then press OK
  • Press right key of mouse on Box's shape
  • And press ‘export’
  • Add ‘.stl’ to the end of file name and press ‘save’
