Description:

with the change to the new MK4 from my MK3S i needed an new external mount for the xLCD.

before, I had the mount for the MK3 display from fasteddy and was very happy with it.

Due to the lack of available external mounts for the MK4, i thought i might just use it again and make some changes to fit the MK4 xLCD.

for the xLCD supports i used the R3 version from Prusa and remixed the to work.

Installation:

follow the Instructions from Prusa for the installation to the xLCD

follow the Instructions from fasteddy, for the mounting to the enclosure, i designed the Parts so it works exactly the same way.

copied from fasteddy:

The mount is intended to be installed on the front edge of the lower LACK table, just below the doors. The bottom edge of the mounting bracket should be flush with the bottom edge of the table to ensure adequate clearance between the bottom of the doors and the top of the LCD controller assembly.

If desired, the xLCD can be secured in the mount by using two M3x10 screws in the holes provided on either side of the bracket. (If you removed the xLCD assembly from the front of an MK4, you should have four M3x10 screws left over.)

A passthrough tube large enough to route the LCD ribbon cables to the underside of the table is available here:
