This is my version of a wall mounted holder for sports balls. Pictured with a size 5 soccer ball but it will fit most balls up to and including a full size basketball.
(Update: I've added a second version that has a simpler mounting system and is hidden when the ball is stored on it. Choose the original one for more of a trophy style and the newer hanging one for more a more discreet look. The mounting instructions below are for the original mount.)
It can mount on its keyhole hanger on one screw, size #6 or similar. The screw depth should be adjusted just far enough from the wall to create a friction fit on the keyhole so it doesn't rotate (you can start with about 2mm and tighten from there). I like to set it a slightly snug, and then rotate the mount itself one full turn clockwise to lock the screw in tight.
If that is not effective enough for you to keep it from rotating, you can put an optional second screw in the wall below the first one at a distance between 19mm and 25mm (¾" and 1"). The lower screw can be driven all the way to the wall, as it is received by a slot instead of a keyhole to keep the mounting as easy as possible.
I used 3 wall loops and about 15% infill. No supports needed, I used ASA filament but I think it should be fine with PLA too.
