I needed a set of dungeon tiles that printed quickly, were easy to store and could help me quickly recreate that old school dungeon map feel. So I designed my own.
I've found these tiles work best with a 5-25% infill, .20mm layer height, outer to inner walls first (duh), and for me, they're easiest to removed when printed on a textured PEI plate.
You can really knock out plate after plate of these without much trouble. I've only printed these on a .04 nozzle but I bet they'd look great with a .06mm.
Mine are scaled for the minis I print, so you might need to scale them up our down to suit your needs. Try them in different materials, they look great in Wood PLA, the Blue-Gray Silk and the Black HyperPLA.
And a friendly tip: You're gonna want to print out more of the pieces with one wall (Walled 4x4) than you think instead of overdoing it on corners, they're pretty crucial for buildings.
Please share and remix to your hearts content. Attached in a zip are some additional STLs I used to make these tiles (a cross to create the 1 inch spaces, and a “joiner” that I add when I fuse tiles together to avoid awkward blank space.)
