Slynx shroud and pump part designs modified to work with the original Lynx blaster hardware. Replaces all printed parts in front of the receiver.
One of the below pump parts in this listing must be used with this shroud, neither the original pump or the Slynx one will work.
Option 1 - [Pump - Shortened Slynx Shroud for Lynx (For use with Lynx Ram)]
Option 2 - [Pump - Shortened Slynx Shroud for Lynx (For use with Slynx Ram and Stock)]

Place the front end down on the build plate. No supports are required. Use an outer brim for better adhesion. For the pump part print the same way as the original.
Holes for four magnets have been added, two on the shroud and two on the pump (see second-last image) to hold the ram closed while primed without having to hold the pump forward, for example when pointing the blaster upwards. These magnets are optional and the design will work the same as the original without them. They are 6.35mm H x 6.35mm D (¼" H x ¼" D) neodymium cylinder magnets, the same ones used in the Zinc 2.0 blaster.
Files for ‘collars’ are included, that can be pressed into the front of the shroud to secure the front of the barrel to ensure it is completely straight (same function as barrel shim in the original Lynx files). Measure the OD of your barrel and print the collar file with the corresponding ID (or print one size down and round file it bigger for a perfect fit). If you are not concerned about this just use the biggest one (19mm).
A spacer part is also included should there be any slop or play in your build. Pull the shroud and receiver apart as much as you can and measure the gap between them. Then scale the spacer on the Z axis in your slicer to the measurement (see last image).
Alternatively you can scale the rear spacer part of the original Lynx (part that sits above the plunger tube) to the additional distance needed, but I found this left too much play in my plunger tube, and the turnaround O ring would pop out of the plunger tube when firing, hence the creation of this forward spacer.
Changelog:
17th Jan 2024: Added a pump which works with the Slynx Ram as due to its longer front, it needs to be pushed back slightly further to allow the next dart in the magazine to come up properly. This means you will also need to use the Slynx stock and buttplate with this as they have the extra room needed for the pusher bar and ram to move back that little bit further. You don’t need any different hardware to use these parts on the original Lynx.

The author remixed this model.
The Slynx shroud and pump part designs are modified to work with the original Lynx blaster hardware, as the design is much cleaner than the orignal three-part design of the front of the Lynx in my opinion. Also added magnets to keep the ram closed without holding the pump forward.
