a yarn butler for cones wound on the Electric Eel Wheel Cone Winder. takes the same bearing as the EEW 6.0 bobbin and will fit on the EEW Lazy Kate base to easily knit from.
to use less filament i added modifiers to create honeycomb patterns both on the base (honeycomb) and the vertical cone (3d honeycomb i believe?). you may find that to look too incomplete or messy (i don't care, as it will sit inside the cone), in which case, don't print from the .gcode file. instead use the original .stl file, or i'm including the modifiers if you want to set up a different infill pattern for those sections (although i tried them all in PrusaSlicer, and honecomb seemed the best).
The author remixed this model.
i took the cone base file that Maurice provided here and did a mash up with the EEW 6 bobbin to create a yarn butler for the cones wound on the Electric Eel Wheel Cone Winder. it takes the same bearing as the EEW 6.0 bobbins and then easily slides onto the EEW lazy kate base. to use less filament i added modifiers to create honeycomb patterns both on the base (honeycomb) and the vertical cone (3d honeycomb i believe?). you may find that to look too incomplete or messy (i don't care, as it will sit inside the cone), in which case, don't print from the .gcode file. instead use the original .stl file, or i'm including the modifiers if you want to set up a different infill pattern for those sections (although i tried them all in PrusaSlicer, and honecomb seemed the best).
