I've been building a lot of stuff over the years that need USB power and never found a suitable standalone enclosure solution so I've set about designing my own. Goal was to take some common AC to USB power supply and wrap the project enclosure around it. The old apple chargers are widely cloned, small, and dirt cheap so that was the beginning. Then I needed room for a dev board and antenna and a way to get all that packed into a reasonable footprint such that it could be plugged in next to other stuff. I also wanted the dev board USB to be available but to keep anyone from doing something dumb it's positioned such that you can either be plugged into AC power, or plugged into the USB port on the board, but never both at the same time.
