This was a pretty large project to print, as I wanted a way to hold my impact sockets for quick access. Many mechanics like all those silly plastic boxes they come in to sit in their drawers, but I find those boxes such a waste of space.
I designed all of these in Solidworks for my specific sets, which were often Harbor Freight brand. I made deep well and shallow versions, and some pick holders / bit driver holders to use with the ccomon side clip. The clip is specifically designed for the US general small tool cart and attaches to the edges.
I designed all of these parametrically for common impacts for working on North American cars, in metric and a few inch sizes. You may or may not have the same set, extra pieces, or require something slightly different. The idea is to keep the clip shape common as it is sturdy and robust to make holders of whatever you want.
In the published files here, I recommend simply printing out everything and see what you still need or is extra, as the sizes are either common (e.g. outside diameter is same) or the set you have has a slightly thicker wall, coating, etc. Make sure to print out many copies of the common clip.
If you reach out to me I can re-design anything you want for this. I only made this design for myself, even though a few guys suggested I try and sell online, which was never considered.
I used PLA + for all these, and printed in the orientation shown in the .3mf file. A 20% infill should be fine.
