Inspired by Dr Operators weapon pack I decided to design a gun that really fits Lucky 13 hands and looks more like a real minigun (and does not take five runs to succesfully print the barrels).

Inspiration taken from:

The gun is made at roughly 1/13th scale. (The most prominent user of minigun - the T800 - is 188 cm tall while Lucky 13 height is 14 cm.)

EDIT: I have added a printable barrell (well, just a tube..) resized to fit 250% enlarged gun.

Printing instructions:

  • Everything is set in .3MF project file - including custom enforced support regions
  • 0,15 mm layers, first layer 0,20 mm, 3 perimeters. First layer at 50% speed is recommended.
  • The body is best printed in vertical position. The .3mf file contain hand-painted supports where needed.
  • The clamping rings are better printed with brim, they are easier to handle during assembly. Again, the .3mf file contains all the necessary settings.
  • The barrels are not printed. These are made from filament pieces. Read the instruction below, how to straighten them.

Assembly:

Illustrated assembly instructions are in the download section.

  1. Print all the required parts. Both the gcode and 3mf files contain all the parts plus some spare rings, including supports.
  2. Cut six or more pieces of filament to make the barrels (I used Prusament PLA Galaxy silver, choose whatever suits your needs), the pieces should be around 6 cm long.
  3. To straighten them, put the filament pieces in the plate and pour boiling water on them. PLA softens and the filament pieces become (almost) straight with spaghetti-like consistence. Keep them in hot water for cca 2 minutes and then pour most of the water out. Let the filemant harden while rolling it gently on the flat bottom of the plate.
  4. Prepare the barrels with all the rings in the middle
  5. Insert the barrels into the body, one by one.
  6. Arrange the clamping rings using the provided template
  7. Fix the rings with superglue
  8. Trim the barrels to proper length

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

This is completely MOC (my own creation), intended to be an accessory for LUCKY 13 figure family accessory. Therefore I mark it as a remix, to pay tribute to original author of the figure (soozafone)
