Samsung SE23 FE case, open back, TPU

This case has an open back, it surrounds just the edge and the cameras to make it easier to hold and add some fall protection.  It needs to be printed in TPU or another flexible material.  The original has 5 holes in the edge for buttons, power, microphone and speaker.  In order to avoid using supports, this model leaves material in the center of the holes which can be cut out in post processing.  Additionally I have included a dummy model of the edge of the phone to use to support the case while printing the top.  The process is not that complicated and ends up tidier than using supports.

To print this model without supports:

• Print 'S23_FE phone edge' file in PLA or other non-flexible filament, this is the dummy.  It should be the same size as the phone.

• In the ‘S23_FE case_2’ file, add a pause print in the layer before the overhanging top edge prints. 

• Print the ‘SE23_FE case_2’ file in TPU or other flexible material up to the pause.
• At the pause, carefully clean up any extra material inside of the case from stringing or any other imperfections.  The inside of the case needs to rest right on the face of the dummy or the print will not line up.
• Carefully insert the dummy into the unfinished case.  To aid in removal, add a thin layer of glue from a glue stick to the top face of the dummy.  The top edge of the dummy should line up with the current height of the print.

• Continue the print.
• Carefully remove from print bed, then peel out the dummy.
• Cut out the holes with a sharp knife.

• Tidy up rough edges by heating carefully with a heat gun.
• Put it on the phone.

This remix removes most of the back of the case to reduce printing time and cost.  I also made modifications so that it can be printed without supports.
