Description

PDF

Simone Giertz invented a foldable coat-hanger and ran a kickstarter campaign. I designed a 3D printed version.

It helps when your wardrobe is not deep enough for regular coat-hangers.

Print Settings

Material: PLA
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Perimeters: 3
Top layers: 3 layers (concentric top layer pattern for hangers ideally)
Bottom layers: 3 layers
Infill: 30% (ideally cubic or gyroid)
Supports: yes (just for holes and round underside of the coat-hanger)

Print Instructions

Print is easy, use supports for screw holes (use 1mm support/object xy distance for holes) and for bottom side of the round part only (use standard supports, not organic/tree). There is a 3mf for BambuStudio/OrcaSlicer with everything set up.

Assembly

You'll need:

  • M3 bolt (ideally 10mm long)
  • M3 nut

Steps:

  1. Remove supports.
  2. Insert M3 nut into bottom part of the connector.
  3. Put coat-hanger into the bottom part.
  4. Put the top part of the connector on top.
  5. Screw in M3 bolt.
  6. Enjoy!
