This is a simple LED light bar I use on my X1 C.
This is designed to fit this aquarium light:
Please be sure to order the 11 inch version of the light
No gluing or screws required
If you print this standing on edge it prints well without any supports
I used a gray PETG and it matches the printer really well.
.2mm layer height
15% infill
I run the light at about ½ power. If I turn it up all the way the camera washed out because it is so bright.
Gives good lighting to the entire print chamber
Fits well between an AMS and the lid handle on an X1
Angled light for better chamber illumination
Prints in just over 2 - ½ hours
Entire project can be printed and assembled in under 3 hours
No tools required, just snap the 2 pieces together and slide the light in from the right hand side. This is a snug fit so that there is no light bleed on either side. If the fit is too snug or there are any print imperfections around the hole, some lite sanding should allow the light to insert with gentle but firm pressure.
NOTE: I have had a few people ask me if this light setup will interfere with the lidar. I have not had any issues with the lidar. My guess is a lot of the LED light options raise up the top glass and shine under it. This version shines through the glass. I suspect the tint of the glass filters out the wavelength of light that can cause issues with the lidar. This is just a guess though. If you run into issues with the lidar using this setup, please message me. I probably will not be able to help you solve the issue, but it will be good to know so that I can pass that information on to other people who want to try this setup.
