This year is the jingle bell ornament year for Christmass trees. My wife wanted some so I figured we could do it ourselves.

I did 2 models, a 100mm in diameter ( ~4 inches) and a 200mm one (~8 Inches) in fusion 360 with embeeded features to avoid overhangs / support in "stars" and “bottom openings” (they have to be trimmed after printing)

It's hollow btw. No ball inside.  The models are just for looks.

I'm including both models and gcodes (sliced in Orcaslicer with higher than normal printing speed tuned for my Ender 3V2 Neo stock)

  • for the 100mm, to print straight (with the hook on top). Supports only for the base and the bottom of the outside ring. The GCode has Tree supports.
  • for the 200mm one, after some fidding, the best way to go with it is to print cut in half and then glue it. It fits barelly the bed of my ender. No supports are requiered.

All in all, good stuff, our chrismass tree looks better and I wanted to share !
