Hi everyone! This is my first upload and my first true 3D model edit.
This is a protective pelican style case that holds two M5Stack core units. It will hold Core, Core 2, and CoreS3, as well as modules like the Battery 13.2, PM2.5, etc. You could use the larger lid available in the original model to hold thicker cores that have modules attached, but I like to store my modules and sensors seperately.
Printer: fits fine on the Mini+
Supports: None
Brim: None
I printed this using the 20mm speed settings.
Instructions: Print all of the case components and then use nails to put the parts together. I used a little nail assortment kit from a hardware store and chose the nails that best fit each spot. I inserted the nails and then glued the nail heads to the plastic carefully to avoid glueing the latches in place. I always use cyanoacrylate for glueing my models because it bonds wood, plastic, and metal. I then used a dremel cut-off disc and a grinding disk to cut and clean up the ends of the latch nails. The original model I re-mixed lists nail sizes, but the standard home nail assortment kit was fine and nobody carried nails by “penny” where I live anyways. You can probably use filament instead of nails but I like the nails.
I also used two 5mm thick pieces of foam board to cushion the top and protect the displays.
Let me know what y'all think! If anyone can turn a logo into an stl so I can add it to this project please contact me.
The author remixed this model.
Adapted this for M5Stack. Removed Flipper logo on front.
