You will need to resize these to fit your tree before printing!

Some replacement base stands for a fake christmas tree, look at the last image to see the kind of style base these are made for. My tree measures around 180cm in height & 80cm at its starting point in diameter, although it easily wobbles, you have to push it quite far for it to not just re-balance itself. To my knowledge there are no standards to these but it should be pretty easy to just resize the part that slots in, to whatever your tree uses.

I recommend printing 1/2mm smaller than your actual tree slot for tolerance. I found that although my test model was a bit loose, my final bases stayed in great with friction. My tree's slots measured around 13 x 13 x 58mm so the square slot part on my bases were 12 x 12 x 57.5mm, you may want to print the test model first to make sure your measurements are correct.

Printed with:

  • 0.6mm nozzle
  • 0.5mm layer height
  • PLA material but almost anything rigid should work
  • 10-15% Gyroid infill (it honestly doesn't need very much infill to be strong, especially because the layer lines (the weak points) are along the short side)
  • 140mm/s speed (my normal speed, higher layer height/nozzles will work but you may need to slow down the print, you can probably see which piece I printed with 0.6mm layer height & 0.8mm nozzle without lowering speed)
  • No build plate adhesion, however I found “bunny ears” or “tabs” worked really well. I used the “Tab+ AntiWarping” plugin in Cura slicer, they work like a brim but just for your corners which are the main problem area with warping
