Model rocketeers, like myself, sometimes use a drill chuck to hold the launch rod. The problem is that the rocket engine exhaust fouls up the chuck. So, I decided to design a chuck protector. What initially was going to be a simple cone, ended up also doubling as a rest to keep the ignitor leads off of the blast plate.
I designed this in Fusion360. This is the seventh iteration of the design.
I printed the model using a Prusa Mk4 using orange Prusament PLA.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
