Do you have a old Volvo S/V40 S60 or V70 key where the key grip has become sticky & not so nice!?
Here is a Key cover that i created to get rid of the tacky and discussing rubber like material on these keys.
I think this keys are from somewhere around the 99-04 year models.
You will have to get rid of the rubbery part of the key.
-Use a polygrip or similar pliers whit god grippy yaws to pinch the rubbery stuf of the "hard" inner section of the key.
-Knife is also possible to use to notch your way in to the core. (be careful :)
Once the hard inner section is free you will have to sand the flat sides a little to get the key flat and slim enough to be able to fit inside the cover.
I have made the cover as thin and thigh as i possibly could without having to modd the key to much.
Once the key fits in both the halves, place it in there and push the to halves together.
Its a interference fit.
I have not glued my keys in so far and i have been using one of the keys daily for a couple of months now without any issues.
