EDIT 2/25/24: Added a few options with finer teeth spacing and different teeth thicknesses.

I was inspired by a few combs here (i.e. Rudy87 & moreconfusion) and wanted to take a shot at one myself.

Designed from scratch to be robust and pocket sized. Teeth optimized for clean prints. Has built in stops to prevent over-travel of the comb when opening and closing (also strengthening the frame considerably).

Included 2 versions of the pivot:

  1. Uses a M3x10 screw and a M3 nut. Much stronger than the printed pivot and recommended.
  2. One uses a 3D printed “chicago” style pivot if you don't have the hardware. Use a U.S. “Penny” (1¢) as a screwdriver. Weaker than the M3 version above and has small threads to print (the smaller the layer height the better.)

Pivot hole in frame may be tight if your machine doesn't handle horizontal holes well. I prefer a tight fit vs some wiggle. I have included “Looser Tolerance” versions of the pivots if you have continued issues.

Other information:

-No supports. Print in supplied orientation at 0.2mm layer height or smaller.

-Print a 4-5 Perimeters with 100% infill for best results.

-There are a couple bridges on the M3 pivots holes that aid in printing without supports. Use the M3 screw or associated Allen key to punch through the holes.
