Rivian Tow Hook License plate bracket for OEM plate holder with note 2/28/25

Update 02/28/25. – A few people have had issues with this fitting their vehicle.  It was designed to fit my Nov. 2023 R1S VIN 23 XXX. I don't know whether this is related to a change in the tow hook size by Rivian in later builds or a problem with printing on other printers. I have used a prusa MK3s+. I would suggest you print a small cross section slice to confirm that it will fit your tow hook before starting this long print. 

Designed to clamp onto the passenger side tow hook on R1S or R1T. (I have only tried it on the R1S, but I believe the tow hooks are the same). The two pieces clamp around the tow hook and are connected by 4 screws and locking bolts. I used stainless steel  4 x 2" 8/32 and 9mm hex locking bolt from ACE.  The OEM plate holder snaps into the three clips at the top and the plate can be further secured to the arms with two 2 X 1"  8/32  as above. 

I printed it at 15% infill PTEG triangular pattern with Organic supports. I believe that front is best printed vertically for strength. Rear was printed horizontally due to its length. At 15% it seems very sturdy so I did not go  up further on infill. You can print it together or separately. I find the organic supports leave less to clean up.

I supposed it could be printed as a miror for the driver side tow hook, but I have not tried that. 

It sits between two sensors and I have seen no interference as shown in the photo attached but please confirm this on your own for safety.
