iPad and Magic Keyboard Cradle for Floor Stand

I designed a Magic Keyboard cradle for use during medical recoveries in future after getting Covid to try to stay productive on couch or in bed when sitting at desk became too difficult.  I designed it for my old iPad Pro 12.9" 5 generation using Apple Accessory Design Guidelines.  I'd advise you do the same for your device if remixing.

Apple Pencil Caution: When the Apple Pencil 2 is in the holster, it stays active never going into standby due to proximity to the iPad.  This drains the Pencil 2 within days if placed there.  I learned this after a couple months of use wondering why the battery was always flat when needed.

The provided two part "Head Stay" is optional, once installed, it allows the arm to bestowed by the position of the arm's head piece.  This is useful as the arm tends to swing open outward freely when disturbed.

Also, there are provisions for inserts on cradle back for accessories per cradle side on the back, I used the left side to mount a USB-C to headphone jack port.

The kickstand parts require a lot of post processing, send me a question if you need help.

Hardware:

Viozon Tablet Floor Stand.

Cradle mounting:

• x6 M3 12mm socket screw.
• x6 M3 Nyloc nuts.

Cradle rail fastening:

• x6 3/16 Ø 5/8" pop rivet.
• x6 3/16 washer.

Cradle rail tension ribbon:

• Aluminum ribbon 32 gauge 6.4 x 310 mm.
• Heat shrink to ribbon.
• x2 1/8 Ø 1/4" pop rivet.
• x2 #4 washer.

Cradle kickstand assembly:

• x4 M3 insert.
• x4 M3 10mm socket screw.
• x4 1.75 Ø pop rivet pin cast-offs cut to 40mm.  (remix with on-hand parts)

Cradle's Apple Pencil 2 holster mounting:

• x2 M3 insert.
• x2 M2 8mm socket screw.
