Raspberry Pi 5 and 2280 NVME SSD Cooler Case
The case has been designed to house an NVME drive mounted under the Pi.
The available drive I had was a 2280m, being 80mm, which is longer than the case length, so it protrudes a bit. (I intend to improve on this in the future)
The NVME drive is installed in a slimline aluminium enclosure that has a male USB A connector.
The USB3 connection to the Pi is made using a 180 degree USB3 male/female Adapter.
The wall thickness of 2.5mm allows for a small reset button which sits in a small square guide recess.
Printed in PLA 0.10mm to get good definition.
If it is printed in transparent PLA it will be illuminated by the LED behind on the PCB.
Similarly a small lens can be printed in transparent PLA and inserted into the 2x2 LED hole.
4x M2.5mmx10mm female/male sockets which self tap into the pcb standoffs fixing the Pi in position.
I used 4x M2.5 x 2mm washers to eliminate the screws bottoming out.
The case is printed upright at 0.2mm PLA.
Supports being needed to the Pi mounting overhangs at each end and the appeture for the NVME enclosure.
