Being in the UK I'm a big fan of the 3DQF filament unfortunately I don't have much success with using their cardboard spools in the AMS. Maybe I'm too rough with them but the flanges of the spool always end up buckling along the corrugations in the cardboard, even when using the printable rims.
I've made this spool that clamps around the existing spool with the intention of stiffening up the flanges and getting better reliability in the AMS.
It is still a work in progress I am testing it in my AMS at the moment.
Update - 26/11/23
The first version of the flange was too thick at the rim, causing friction in the AMS. I have now added Flange V2 with thinner rims and this seems to work much better.
