Origin
My wife said she wanted something to hold her coins and coin roll wrappers. After creating a couple of prototypes in Fusion 360, I landed on this third design which we're both really happy with.
Coin Rows
There are four rows - one for each U.S. coin denomination from pennies to quarters.
Each row of coins is offset into five bays for each denomination for easy grasping. Each roll holds the number of coins in a standard US coin roll: 50 pennies, 40 nickels, 50 dimes, and 40 quarters.
Storage Slots
There are four storage slots - one under each row of coins.
Storage slot depths are varied so that all wrappers display uniformly.
Each storage slot can hold 6-8 coin roll wrappers.
Columns for Rolling
Raised columns make rolling easy. Simply sleeve a coin roll wrapper onto a column, and drop the coins in, one bay's group at a time.
Column heights have been designed to be exactly one-half of the unused wrapper. This allows you to fold the top end of the paper, then grasp the bottom of the roll, lift it off, and fold the bottom end of the paper.
Printing
I've printed ours with PLA Basic, three wall loops, and no supports needed.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
