I wanted to display my daily produced Solar power and designed and build this model. I am using it in conjunction with Iobroker and MQTT.

You need 22 LEDs from a WS2812 LED strip per module, some cables and connectors. The module/Digits are connected at the backside (see picture). You can add as many modules as you like (theoretically – since there is maximum when the LEDs at the end do not get enough power).

When printing the inlets use the “divide in parts/In Teile trennen” Function in the Prusa slicer. For more illumination I printed the first layer in white (for optics) and the second to 5th layer in transparent PLA. This makes it brighter but still gives it some stability. The rest is white again (Same for the dot).

You have to modify the code with your WIFI information and MQTT credentials and address. The names of the MQTT value names can be changed.
The OnOff value I use to start the display in the morning when my PV is generating power and to stop it at 22:00h. I am using IOBROKER scripts for this.

There are 2 templates, one for drilling holes for the connector plate and one for the PCB with the WEMOS.

Have fun with it :)
