QIDI Tech X-Max/Plus/Smart 3 Spoolholder

Simple drop-in replacement for the original drybox-mount for using larger filament spools.

I recommend printing the mounting tabs with 100% infill as they're the weakest part in this model. 

In Prusa Slicer you can do this by right-clicking the model and selecting “Add modifier” > “Box”, right-clicking the box, selecting infill and setting it to 100%, after that position and scale the box so it covers the mounting tabs.

Also I'd recommend printing the spool holder on it's side (as seen in the screenshot), this may reduce print quality because of overhangs but greatly improves strength in the load direction, especially with fiber-reinforced filaments.

As a result of modeling the threads with zero tolerances they are very tight, scaling the x- and y-dimensions of the cap down to 98% made for a good fit in my case.

I printed this in regular PLA (~60 MPa tensile strength) with 25% Gyroid infill and it easily holds 4kg spools, but your mileage may vary depending on what filament you are using.

The roll has an OD of 49mm and is 105mm long, if you need different dimensions, feel free to message me, changing them up is no problem.
