The Ship

The Corellian CR90 Corvette, also known as the Rebel Blockade Runner, is a 150m long ship, used as a freighter, consular vessel and warship alike. Probably the most famous ship of this class is Tantive IV, the first ship to appear on screen in Star Wars.

Original Creator

This is an adaption of Star Wars: CR-90 by Daniel Andersson.

Scale Versions

There are different versions for different scales which are all based on the same base model. Some features are exaggerated on smaller versions so that they print properly.

The given sizes for the different versions and their parts are always according to the standard orientation of the ship. Length is the distance from the head to the engines, Width is from port to starbord and Height is from top to bottom.

For printing, the part may be oriented differently. The general dimensions are still the same, but length/width/height may be switched compared to the given sizes.

Base

This is closest to Daniel Anderssons model. It is not meant for printing, but can serve as a basis if you want to make your own changes.

You can find this and all other versions in the .blend-file. This is especially handy if you want them without the surface subdivision modifier. All modifiers are switched off by default. Be carefull with the modifiers for the 1:270 version, they take a lot of time to load.

1:270

This is the largest model, coming in at 55.5 cm long, 10.4 cm tall and 17.9cm wide. It uses the same scale as my smaller starfighter models. The parts are:

1:1000

This model is 15cm long, 3.24cm tall and 4.84 cm wide. It can be printed as a single piece with supports on buildplate only. Due to its small size, the shape of the cannons, sensors and engine nozzles are exaggerated.

1:2000

This is the smallest model at 7.74 cm long, 1.62cm tall and 2.42cm wide. The shape of the big cannons and engine nozzles are simplified and the small cannons are removed. The parts are:

This version is combatible with a medium holder and small pin from here.

by Daniel (@DanielAndersson) (sketchfab.com)

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Merged everything into a single, closed mesh

Made round parts smoother with additional geometry

Increased the thickness of thinner parts and removed some of the smallest details

Added a simple pattern to the back wings (right between the engine block and docking ports)

Cut it into parts for different scales
