This model is designed to protect any USB cables you have that may be in high stress environments, where the cable end gets bent back and forth frequently.
The model is provided in OpenSCAD format, allowing you to easily adjust the model's parameters to match your own cables. Will work for USB-C or USB-A ends, and probably lightning, and other cable connectors.
See Gubutek's model for some more photos, and a visual description of the parameters you can change.
I have made a few changes to this model above and beyond the great model gubutek created.
I made a snap-on cover that is sized to fit around the diameter of the cable end of the protector, so that your cable will not slide out of the slot you use to put the protector onto the cable. You will want to secure this with some glue.
The two sub-assemblies are selectively enableable, so you can print either just the protector, or just the cover, or both.
You now have two choices for how to affix it to your USB cable:
The author remixed this model.
Added a snap-on cover, and an option to slice the model in half so you can print two halves and glue them together. More details in the description.
