Imagine: In a single thoughtless moment, your brush, once laden with pristine white paint, is dipped into the murky waters of the rinse cup- staining the purity with the lingering remnants of colors past. The once-vibrant white morphs into a dismal shade before your very eyes, tainted by liquid filth. A sense of devastation washes over you, mirroring the desecration of the formerly flawless white.

No longer will you be forced to abandon your artistic fervor in order to refresh your plastic crimson vessel with clean water! Embrace uninterrupted creativity with a brush cleaner that delivers a flow of fresh, invigorating water, allowing your masterpiece to unfold without the inconvenience of water replenishment.

Yes, I am aware this is not a new concept and something similar can be easily purchased from your favorite online drop shipper or warehouse, but where is the fun in that? All you need is any old standard PET bottle (11.15 fl oz Fiji is my bottle of choice), and some filament!

I have included a “textured” version of the brush cleaner- complete with lumps and bumps to really get in those bristles, and an “untextured” version for those who prefer a more gentle cleaning. I also added a “customizable drain plug”- this is just in case you don't like the knob on the original, you can make your own version. The reservoir holds approximately 18 fl. oz of water (532ml for my non-American friends).

If your printer hasn't been tuned to have at least semi-decent tolerances, you may need to scale the brush cleaner slightly on the X&Y in your slicer.

I printed mine on my Bambu Lab P1S with no fitment issues and the following settings:

Brush Cleaner and Drain Plug:

Layer height: .12 (.2 works fine, I just wanted my textured cleaner to look a little smoother)

Walls: 3

Infill: 15% Gyroid (overkill but I like gyroid, sue me)

No supports required

Reservoir:

Layer height: .24 (0.2-0.3 is fine, just depends how fast you want to print &  your printer's layer adhesion)

Walls: 3

Top/Bottom Layers: 4 (this will depend on your layer height, I prefer to just have no infill and do as many top/bottom layers as I need for it to be solid)
