This is a model I create to help my year 12's understand:

  1. That a substrate is/substrates are complementary to the active site
  2. That a competitive inhibitor acts to block the substrate from interacting with the active site
  3. That a non-competitive inhibitor stimulates a conformational change to the active site, inhibiting binding without competition.

The enzyme is printed in TPU and needs to be printed in a flexible material to be inhibited by the allosteric inhibitor. The substrates and competitive inhibitor are printed in generic PLA.

I printed at .3 mm layer height (the draft profile) on Prusa MK3s+, with 15% infill on all components.
