Loved it, really cool aesthetics

Drilled a hole in the back and soldered a USB cable to a stepdown - looks great! (edited)
@NiklasRoll_1816231 ah auch cool.
Vermute 20ohm Wiederstand?
@Christian_2630367 weis nicht mehr genau aber 20 Ohm klingt gut
Great design ! This was a gift, I took a PS4 controller for the photo. Works nicely though.
used some hot glue to secure the LED strip in the through holes and a small bead of super glue in the track, also considering making a USB/lipo rechargeable version some day
This was an interesting build. I got the parts and made one for my daughter and one for myself. I'm quite proud of this, it was a lot of work and cool reward. Great youtube tutorials, without them, I could not have get this together. Thank you.
Modified this by just putting a small (10mm) hole in the back so I could us a USB cable to power the LED "string" (used a 20ohm resistor to even it out since the LEDs are 3v and USB is 5v). Please don't judge my wiring/soldering (LOL). Printed out great and the LED string from AliExpress fit and works great.
@HunterRose Hi. Did you use 2 resistors? So one per cable side?
@Christian_2630367 no I used a single 20ohm resistor on the ground side (my LED was 3v at 100ma) with a 5v USB power.
have you got an another link for the batterybox? thx
Neat! It would be cool if the lights only turned on while the controller is docked (maybe by using a limit switch?)
