This grid keeps large objects from entering in PVC pipes (80mm diameter pipes). Friction fit.
Designed for a rain water management system but feel free to us it in any other context if you like it. Please note: Not very effective as a hat.
You can use whatever method to secure the grid to the pipe if friction is not good enough. Clearances might vary from a printer to the other. You can scale the model a bit in your slicer if the first print comes too loose or too tight.
Keep in mind that this is intended to be placed at the entrance of a pipe so air or water flow will push the grid against the pipe. Avoid placing this at the output as debris might get stuck against the grid clogging your system. The grid secures on the outside perimeter of the pipe so you need the PVC to stick out a bit. Adjust pads length using the slicer so that the grid lies flush against the pipe edge.
Don't forget to check on the grid from time to time or it could end-up fully covered in large debris (leaves…) effectively stopping any flow.
I'm not responsible of any damage or injury that the use of this model could cause.
