Deep sieve with changeable sieve plates.

I needed a deep sieve to separate out the smaller silica beads to fill desiccant containers

  • small beads get loose of the container and make a mess
  • silica beads bounce well so the sieve bowl has to be deep or you make a mess

At that depth it would be a waste to have to print the sieve for each size I wanted to separate out so I designed the sieve to just change the bottom.

  • need four m3 x 10mm screws and nuts
  • print a pair of bowl and backing
  • print the sieve plate with infill settings to give the correct grid size for your needs (e.g. 25% rectilinear)
  • alternatively edit the sieve plate model to punch holes at the size/shape you need

Notes: 

Using my trusty infill reference card I picked infill percents that gave the right grid sizes. In my case I used rectilinear 20%, 25% and 30%.
