For a school project, I had to upcycle something. After a while, I saw the spool and in the garden the birds flying around. The first idea was to create a ring that the corns cant fall down. I designed it an I realized, its hard to fill up, exspecially when it is hanging on a tree. I decided to make the top hole a bit bigger, but I had a problem: How can I edit the spool that the corns land where they should. So I designed a cone. At least I made a lid to close the top. For a easy handing, the lid is fixed with two magnets.

Printed in Orange PETG

No supports

You also need:
- a empty Filament PM spool
- 4x 130mm long metal pole; diameter: 4mm (you can also take a long screw, but you may have to drill a bit)
- 4x  10mm x 2mm magnets
- Superglue to connect the parts (I prefer glue instead of screws)

  1. Separate one of the two sides
  2. Cut approximately 50mm form the middle away
  3. Glue the cone one side and the big ring on one side
  4. Take the metal poles and glue them in the holes of the cone
  5. Drill in the other side of the spool holes for the poles
  6. Glue the little ring and the magnets on the correct positions
  7. Glue the “Griff” in the two holes of the “Deckel”
  8. Glue the magnets in the “Deckel”

Happy 3D printing!!
(I also uploaded .stp files, so you can make it for your favorite filament-brand)
