Our dog hurt his back and he had difficulty bending down to eat and drink. We needed to raise his bowls, but it was annoying and untidy having things lying around, especially when I want to clean the outdoor area. These bowl holders lay flat against the wall when not required and can hold a bowl up to 200mm base diameter. Could easily be scaled down for smaller bowls.
I printed in ABS, but ASA is probably better if out in the sun. The orientation is off for the back bracket and strut as I drew them all in their working orientation. To print the strut properly I stood it vertically on the plate and added a 1 layer modifier cylinder halfway up, then used tree supports. This supports the strut at the base and halfway up so the part is stable to print and it is easy to clean up. I will attach a picture to describe.
The tray is held onto the back base with 5mm screws. I tapped the back plate to 5mm. The hole size in the back plate is 4.5mm and the tray hole size is 5.5mm.
A 4mm bolt holds the strut to the back bracket.
Printed in ABS with 4 walls and 15% gyroid fill. It feels solid on the wall with a large bowl full of water.
