This is a case for the DMQ Design SPIN Macropad. This is a cool macropad that has 12 keys and 3 rotary encoders.

I designed it with two different leg options. One, as pictured, that raises it slightly and angles it by 5 degrees. The other will allow it to lay completely flat. There are recesses for bump-on feet to reduce slipping.

I leveraged the Cap Head screws on the assembled pin to locate and retain the assembly. The top panel then keeps it from popping out of those holes.

I used M3, flat head fasteners to hold the legs on. There's a pocket for the bolt inside the case. You're going to want to buy square nuts for there otherwise tightening it up will be a nightmare.

A few words about the little window. There are some RGB LEDs under the PCB that shine through the un-masked areas. The window is .2mm thick so that you still see that light. You don't need the window at all. The design doesn't rely on it, but if you do use it, it can be mounted from the top or the bottom. Mounted from the top, might make the design in the PCB a little clearer, me I liked the less distinct effect.

I found a few dabs of PVA glue were helpful for keeping the window in place.

Printing Tips

  1. None of the parts need support.
  2. Print in your favorite color or colors for whatever effect you want.
  3. Print files sliced for PETG.
