When we first moved into our new apartment, the cheap hooks I tried to hang this painting up with failed, and the brittle plastic frame it was glued to shattered.

To replace it, I meticulously copied the contours of the frame's moulding in Inkscape, then designed a fairly faithful recreation of the original frame in OpenSCAD.

Hanging instructions

The painting itself fits in the middle, and is held in place by six pegs, which go into the holes along the back of the frame.

To mount it on the wall, I placed a couple of plain Command strips on the backing (with the pull-tab ends exposed by the top two cutouts), then stuck that backing to the wall, and pressed the picture frame onto the lips of the backing.
