Ortlieb Bike Bag Buckle for Strap Loops

Background and idea

Several buckles of my Ortlieb bike bags are broken and I did not know where to get the appropriate replacement buckles for 25mm wide straps. My bags have only a short strap loop, which I did not want to cut open. The solution was a buckle combined with a bolt.

Simply thread the strap loop through the two holes in the buckle, insert the bolt into the loop and pull the loop back.

Printing recommendations

• PETG recommended, because it bends a bit. – I used Prusament PETG Recycled.
• Nozzle diameter 0.6mm (or less) – I used 0.6mm BondTech CHT nozzle.
• Layer hight 0.30mm (or less)
• Perimeters at least 5 (for 0.6mm nozzle) or 8 (for 0.4mm nozzle) – for stability
• No infill
• No supports
