Wii Compatible IR Bar

What is it?
This is an IR Led bar that is compatible with the Nintendo Wii. It can be used as a replacement for a lost or broken ir bar from the original console. It can also be used to enable Wiimote tracking for playing games through emulation.

Advantages
No proprietary connector, it is powered by 5v micro-USB so it can be used with original hardware or in other applications.

Additional parts required
In order to build a functional IR bar you will require the following components.

• 6 x IR LEDs 5mm 940nm
• 6 x 150ohm 1/4watt through hole resistors
• 1 x Micro-USB type B breakout board (See image, there are many suppliers of this part on Amazon)
• 3 x M3 contersunk machine screws 6 to 8mm long
