https://lithophanemaker.com/ has some great tools for generating .stl files, including a light box maker. These pendant light sockets work great, unfortunately the lithophanemaker tools only generate a hole with a lip and do not support the socket. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M5F3DA2
The electronics in a 40W equivalent LED bulb can reach over 70°C which is not good if it touches PLA. I created a holder for the socket to hold it in place using two M5x0.8 bolts. The threads are loose enough to print at 0.20mm height and work well, just run a bolt in and out a few times to knock off any high points. The threads are at 15mm and 30mm from the build plate and centered on the socket hole. Aligning negative volume cylinders on a new print works best. If you have an existing box and would like add a brace, I included a drill template for alignment, I recommend a drill press if you have one.
I printed 0.20mm layer height, PETG to have a bit of give in the threads, I haven't tried PLA yet for this brace. Five perimeters, again to have enough material around the threads. It may work with less, I am not a print speed demon and a bit of extra time is okay for me. No supports needed, print with the threads pointing up.
