Hari Seldon didn't build it in a day. We're not done here. But we are getting closer.

This is the beginning of what will be a prop replicating the Prime Radiant from the Foundation series based on Isaac Asimov's novels.

Also known as a cuboctahedron it is a polyhedron composed of 6 square and 8 triangles and one of 13 Archimedean shapes of geometry.

I think the books were much better than the television series.  Prove me wrong.  :)

Two ways to print: use the “no_circuit” file then add the “squares” and “triangles” OR if you have an MMU use the 3MF file using black or galaxy black (REALLY hoping to get some more PolyMaker soon!) and gold for the circuitry.  Let me know how it works out for you!

Designed the cuboctahedron like this:

   - Starting with a cube, then, on each face of the cube, extrude a square from the center of each face. After that, connect the corners of the squares to form triangular faces. The result should be a shape with square faces in the middle of each original face and triangular faces at each corner of the original cube… you know what? Too complicated.  I'll just use Kristian_Laholm's directions. :D

A very big Thank You to Triple G Workshop for the beautiful photos of his make!  He also has a well done build montage posted on X.
