There are probably a lot of Penrose tribars available for free dawnload. Unfortunately, I did not find a single one that was also executed perspectively correctly. All of them worked with various inaccuracies due to perspective foreshortening. You know, things that are farther away seem smaller!

If anyone tells you that they can make a Penrose triangle with shaped tubes of the same thickness throughout, then they are either stupid or an evil liar.

So I set out to create one that takes these foreshortenings into account.
The difference on a photo is not earth-shattering, but still there.
It is made for about 300mm eye distance, but can be scaled at any time.

Unfortunately, the example image was taken from an uncorrected Penros triangle. Unfortunately, I did not have a picture of the current one yet. It will follow asap.
However, you can see here that the widths for the horizontal and vertical surfaces are not the same. The same error continues over all surfaces that are not parallel to the image plane.

Update:

The first image is now an actual one. All profile widths are exactly the same here in the projection as Penrose created.
The second one is only for reference

In the3D viewer, you cannot reproduce the effect due to the lack of adjustability of the camera distance. However, when printed out, this can be reproduced with any camera, as long as the distance and the viewing angle are correct.

The realization of the Penrose triangle is thus mostly a very badly made illusion. A trained eye quickly becomes suspicious.

Have Fun!
