After breaking the  insert plate on my band saw, I figured I'd spend the time to remake this part vs buying the OEM replacement.

This fits the WEN 10" Band Saw, model number 3962, but I've also included a fully customizable Fusion 360 file for other band saw models (with rectangular inserts).

Breakdown of the f3d user parameters:

Width: Defines the insert plate width

Length: Defines the insert plate length

Depth: Defines the height of the support ribs and sidewall of the insert.

Radius: Defines the outer radius of the part to fit snuggly in the bandsaw

Blade Slot Width: Defines the gap between the blade. This could be reduced to make this a more zero clearance insert. In my testing, 3mm is a good balance that allows the blade tracking to not rub against the site of the slot.

Blade Slot Depth: Defines how long the cutout is for the blade. In testing, this was a good length that still allowed blade adjustment without being too long.

Wall Thickness: Defines the width of the support ribs and sidewall of the insert. The part is shelled to the same width as the defined wall thickness. If you'd like it thicker/thinner, you can edit the “wall_thickness” parameter on the “Shell for Wall Thickness” in the timeline.

Holes can be omitted by suppressing the “Holes” extrusion in the timeline, but I like having them to help sawdust not gather on the surface as much.

Filament type doesn't really matter, I've printed these in both PLA and PETG with the same results. However, I recommend using the smooth sheet so there is less friction with the material you are cutting.
