This is a 3D model for a lamp to give as a gift or for your own pleasure. to assemble it you will need some store bought parts and some glue. You also need to print four Lithophanes on https://3dp.rocks/lithophane/ .

parts needed:

  • 4 lithophanes with these specific settings: (if the print takes very long you can turn down the amount of vectors per pixel)

  • choose the outer curve option and download the STL files.
  • in the slicer be certain to turn op the amount of walls to 10 to make sure the entire lithophane is a solid object

  • E14 lamp fitting similar to this one (the tolerences are quite tight currently might change this soon)
  • A cable compatible with the fitting (switch is optional)
  • The 3 printed parts (2 parts for the base and a part for the top)
  • superglue
  • a bulb (preferably LED to prevent large amounts of heat)

Instructions:

  • Wire the cable and lightbulb fitting together.

  • Glue the fitting onto the base using the ring as a glueing surface

  • Glue the bottom lid onto the base with the cable neatly guided through the cable guides.

  • Glue the four lithophanes onto the top lid neatly. Try to keep the gaps as small as possible. (make sure they are facing correctly).

  • Add a bulb, place the top on the base and turn on your brand new lamp! (don't glue the top onto the base so you can change the bulb if necessary)
