Ender-3 Pro Accessory Electronics Case

Every Raspberry Pi case I have found for the Creatlity Ender-3 Pro has always left me wanting some feature, over-complicated, or hard to print. So, I figured I'd dive in and see what I could do. I designed the model using models of the Raspberry Pi 4, Meanwell RS-25, and 4010 blower fan downloaded from Grabcad.

• Front-mounted USB to make connecting to MCU easy.
• blower fan to keep the electronics cool
• Does not block existing installation holes.

Requirements

• Raspberry Pi 4
• Meanwell RS-25-5 Power Supply (optional)
• 4010 blower fan (I used a 5V fan)
• 4x 2020 fasteners for M3 screws (I prefer the spring-ball loaded roll-in fasteners over T-nuts)
• 6x M3x6mm socket-cap screws (2 to mount the Meanwell, 4 for the lid)
• 4x M3x8mm socket-cap screws (mounting to the printer)
• 4x M3 5mm heat-set inserts

Installation

1. Print the case and lid. (I used PETG, 4 perimeters, 5 top and bottom layers, 40% Gyroid infill, and no supports.)
2. Carefully install the heat-set inserts on the top of the case. (I recommend using a temperature below your print temperature because those features are delicate.)
3. Mount the Meanwell RS-25-5 to the case (if applicable).
4. Mount the Raspberry Pi 4 to the case.
5. Wire it up.
6. Mount a 4010 blower fan to the case lid. (I used a 5V blower fan to minimize wiring).
7. Add any additional controller boards for the fans.

The Meanwell power supply takes mains voltage! Working with mains is dangerous and can result in damage to property and/or injury if not done correctly. If you don't know how to wire mains, please seek assistance from a qualified professional.

P. S. Please ignore the mess in the picture…. I'm finishing a few projects while packing to move.
